Why I Ditched the Big Plan Approach.

Life doesn't go in a straight line...
.
When I first began coaching over 12 years ago, I used it as a management tool in what was quite a male dominated and corporate environment.
.
It's no surprise then that my approach to coaching was very masculine and linear. My focus was on setting strong clear goals and outlining the stepping stones to get there. It was all about the end goal and having a PLAN.
.
When a few unexpected curve balls came my way I learnt that life does just that. It curves, it twists, it goes up and down and spins you around. It's always changing. Sometimes in subtle ways and sometimes with a big slap in the face.
.
So I ditched the big plan approach and embraced my feminine side. To trust, to nurture, to be patient, creative, to become aware of my ever changing self and move in the direction that feels right to me. .
Now I set intentions, I visualise. I sit in stillness or walk quietly in nature to see what arises and trust in my innate wisdom and intuition to guide me forwards and take action that feels inspired instead of forced.
.
Working in this way for myself and with my clients has been life changing. The journey of growth and transformation is inspiring and exhilarating. Being grateful and aware in the present whilst allowing my heart and soul to pull me gently towards my greatest self 💛
